Since many years we’ve been making this Garlic Sauce in our kitchen. We’ve never been keen on store bought ready dips or sauces, and also stopped buying mayonnaise many years ago. The long list of ingredients and super long ‘best before’ date, which is usually on this kind of products is really scary. Once you find the right recipe and master it to your taste, you will never look back at the shopping shelves. My rule of thumb is to use good quality ingredients, fresh herbs and freshly ground spices (if possible).
I you a garlic fan, I’m pretty sure you will like this sauce. As every garlic sauce, it’s very versatile and you can use it in salads, sandwiches or with chips. It also works lovely with a sweet potato wedges. Why don’t you try it with our Sourdough Pizza or Breakfast Burrito.
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix it well. Place in the fridge at least a couple of hours before serving. The flavor will intensify with time, so taste the sauce before serving and adjust seasonings if needed. We don't use much salt in our kitchen and never use it for this recipe, however you may want to use a pinch of salt. THE TWIST - use goat's milk yogurt. It has a very distinctive flavor, which combines beautifully with a garlic and spices.
VEGAN OPTION - replace yogurt with a plant based yogurt.
